Me: Why did the chicken cross the road?
4 yr old: I don't know.
Me: To get to the other side. (fake laugh)
4 yr old: (genuine laugh)
4 yr old: Hey Mom, why did the car run over the chicken?
Me: I don't know, why?
4 yr old: Because he was crossing the road.

Nice... the other day Kate said, "Mom, I think someone bit Peter." "Who?" I said. She said, "Umm... some kid... I think it was Irene." (the 60 yr old woman who works with me). Maybe ya had to be there but we laughed hysterically.
